I know I may look like I’ve got my resting bitch face in these photos lol and contradicts the title and content of this post. Nonetheless going to touch on how you can mould yourself into thinking and BEING positively positive about all things in life and most importantly, YOU!
I used to be such a miserable moaning Myrtle, in fact I still am sometimes. But one thing I’ve strived to adapt into my life is positive thinking. Not easy at all when life, people and more try to knock you down. But its critical, necessary, CRUCIAL…for YOU….for YOUR wellbeing.
The heavy lesson of thinking positively in order to appreciate life to your full capacity, came about this year in April. I had a disgusting negative experience which rocked my core (too personal to share it right now, sorry). The experience/issues I went through were a mixture of bereavement, toxic feelings being thrown towards me….the list goes on. I won’t lie, it was a pretty low moment for me and quickly sank into a sad, almost depressed state over it. But with prayer, that state didn’t remain. Thank God I knew to revert to prayer as my basis of getting my mind out of that situation. Unfortunately, not many people do or have belief to.
I first started to look at my life and really see and FEEL that I was blessed. I learnt that toxic energy around you should never be remain and it is essential that that energy does not spread into any aspect of your life. I’ve been one to hold grudges, I’ll put my hands up, but with maturity I’ve definitely become better at moving forward and letting things go. In other words, I try not to get my negative knickers.
Im really big on energy. If I don’t receive a positive vibe from someone, I really don’t keep that around me anymore regardless of how long I’ve known you. Bad energy brings bad into your life.
Positive + Positive = Positive
Negative + Negative = Negative
Its simply that.
I’ve seen and felt bad energy first hand and the negative affects from it. Sometimes, its even the people we should love the most that treat us the worst or bring that toxic, negative energy into our lives mainly due to the trials and tribulations going on in their own. You cannot hate them for it but you can distance and remove yourself further receiving that energy if your help, love and care are not what they want. You can help them IF they want to be helped.
Personal wellbeing is extremely precious to me. The mind is what dictates how our life pans out. It dictates your actions. It dictates your thought process on how you deal with situations. That’s why the term ‘you can be your worst enemy’ stands true to us as humans. But there also people who will bring you down at any moment due to the insecurities of their own. I used to sit there and
I remember going to a networking event recently and at the last hour I nearly talked myself out of it….’Oh Leah your too tired, you need to rest’; ‘Oh Leah, you can’t go to an event by yourself….’is all that was pacing through my mind. I literally had to talk myself out of that negativity and reflect on all the positives which I may experience by attending. It sounds silly doesn’t it, but it’s things like that that have led me to
So how you do work your way into a positive thinking mind frame:
- Remove all elements of negative in your life, be it the physical, people/person etc. – This is the most obvious of them of all but it’s by far the most critical. If you’re receiving bad energies from a person or situation, take yourself out of that equation so it does not equate to anything in your life from that day forth. This was EXTREMELY difficult for me as it involved people I cared about.
- Socialise, meet new people, create new experiences – Go out, do things you’ve never one before. Get to know new people. Push yourself beyond your limits. The mind is limitless and you are limitless with a positive approach to situations/experiences you encounter in your life.
- Speak your goals into existence – I cannot stress this enough. Speaking your truth and what you want to achieve can and will manifest itself into fruition. This year I’ve done this continuously and God has heard me each and every time. Of course, I must of been ready for it and it must have been right for me to receive it but nonetheless I encourage all to make a start!
- Stay active – An active mind and body helps to remove stress, bad energy etc. Also the physical benefits from exercising. Find something you enjoy doing i.e. if you like dancing, join a dance class or simply research dance workouts on Youtube. At present, I work out 4-5 times a week and I absolutely love myself and body for it. Slowly but surely, I’m seeing a change in my body and reaching my goal of ‘Get Abs or Die Tryin‘ lol.
None of the above is always simple or straight forward but remember becoming a better you is a journey.
